I was wondering this the other day....
During normal driving, my shift routine goes like this:
Foot off gas
Clutch pedal in (disengage clutch)
Shift to next gear
Clutch pedal out (engage clutch)
Foot back on gas
I was thinking to both shorten the shift time, and bring the engine's revs up during the shift, I could put my foot on the gas a bit sooner, before the clutch is completely let out. This would only be done during racing at the track. Besides the clutch, would this hurt anything else in the drivetrain?
