There are not many 4th gen Fbodies in our local junkyards but there are a ton of 3rd gens. I was wondering which 3rd gens came with aluminum driveshafts? If there are no specific 3rd gens that have aluminum driveshafts then can someone tell me a good way to tell a steel driveshaft from an aluminum driveshaft without removing it from the car and feeling the weight?

IIRC, the aluminum drive shafts were only available on the LS1 cars. (98+)Last edited by TheGr8Schlotzky; 06-13-2007, 11:18 PM.
