does my car have LSD?

ok so i have a 2000 camaro (obviously v6) and i checked the parts replacment numbers on the drivers side door and is says GU6 so it has 3.42 gear ratio, but if it comes wit a 3.42 gears does it also come with LSD or is it still open differential?

It doesn't have to be a Y87 to have LSD.

Look for the G80 code, like mentioned above.

yes i do have LSD!!!! thank god. well i found out myself earlier cause me and my friend just stopped the car on some dry cement and put that beast into first and floored it. there were 2 rubber lines (thank god!) and those lines were like 15 feet long!!!! (no my car isnt stock :)

my door isnt the original door...would the code also be on the sticker in the glove box?

hmm i think it would be the same code, i call the dealer give then your VIN they can tell you
