  • Knocking sound coming from under the wheel

Ohhhh, frustration. In the process of trying to sell my 1994, 5spd., 3.4l maro and on the way home last night, car I noticed a deep knocking sound coming from behind the pedals. :spank: If I jerk the wheel while I'm coasting, I can get it to do it. It will also knock when I go over bumps in my driveway. I don't think its the engine. Thinking its steering, or from reading another post on here, the transmission mounts. Like I said, i can feel it through the pedals and it sounds like its coming from right down there and under the feet area of the front seats. Anyone got any thoughts? I know I need to get under it, but its raining.

Thanks for the input. Figured out it was prolly due to play from the pinion on the steering rack. Decided to put the rear up too because its had a nasty rattle since I've had it. Besides leaking shocks, one of the bump stopper rubbers was completely gone and the other side was about to fall off. No more rock n' roll for this car;)
