it is a cheaper alternative to a lsd, but has negative side effects for a dd. wondering if anyone has tried it or had any experience with these or not.96 camaro auto base model
slp cai
pacesetter headers
flowmaster catback
35th anniversary ss wheels
richmond 3.73
98+ ss spoiler
hypertech 160 degree thermostat
transgo shift kit

Re: mini spool: good idea, bad idea?
bad idea... stick with a normal LSD of a z28.
if I decide to put my next 10-bolt in I will be selling an auburn diff soon.
a mini-spool will suck in any bad weather or any hard turning which would make the car not fun to drive. And even the benefits are not worth the hardships you will feel.
I think James had one on his car, and he said it sucked for daily driving.

Re: mini spool: good idea, bad idea?
I've never had a problem with my minispool - 100% that both wheels will hook EVERY TIME. Only time I even notice it's there is when I'm trying to back into a parking spot ... because the rear wheels are not as forgiving as with a LSD.
Secondly, i wouldn't get it from Summit - get the one from JT. You don't need anything special and it's a very quick install.

James had a Detroit locker, I believe.

Not saying its impossible, but didn't you have a daily driver and your car was more of a weekend car?
