It seems a lot of you have the SPEC clutches for you're cars. But I read a lot of "chattering" and stuff comes with them. I have a 97 Camaro 3.8 with some bolt ons. Its my daily driver and I'm looking for a clutch that will hold up, yet be okay to take to the track once in a while. Im not sure if I want a stock clutch since I'm spending money, I might as well have a performance one. Also, do they come in kits with everything you need like the Tbearing and all that?

i didn't want to go with a spec for the same reason. i went with a centerforce dual friction . i've never had a problem with it. it grips great.

They come with a TOB... if you have never done your slave, I woudl just put a new on in. On Certain years GM upgraded to a newwer model.

but my advice from experience, don't get a spec II, it chatters. And sucks.

don't listen to the "it doesn't chatter, very streetable" crowd.

what exsactly is chatter, i had a spec clutch for a little while and it wasnt bad.
is chatter just sound? is there any negative effects to it?

its just a stock replacement, try autozone though, you can probably get one for cheaper mayb. I think that is the same brand i have and it got it for 200 with all the things you see in that picture

Exedy makes a good clutch. Should be a pretty nice piece.
