well i'm starting to pile up some parts for the car this winter, and i figured the best place to start modding my car was probally drivetrain and suspension, so i'm ordering some eibach lowering springs, phb, lcas, but i've heard i can get good gains from installing an LSD. My car is a 2002 3.8 with a T5, the rear end is open with 3.42 gears. and yes i did look up all the codes for my car because i wanted to know exactly what i was starting with. The car also came with a one piece driveshaft. I'm looking for some prices for a good LSD unit. Thanks in advance, and yes i did search but all i could find is people recommending that someone get one, never where to buy them from.

Re: where to buy LSD unit???
I mean I guess you looked it up... but.....
i thought all 5-speeds came with 3.23s, never heard of anything different. I mean I know autos are usually 3.08, but there are 3.42 non-y87 cars out there.
but never heard of a 3.42 5-speed.

Re: where to buy LSD unit???
I buy all of my driveline parts from DTS in Warren, MI. The have great tech support, huge selection, and great prices. With the 7.5 rearend they will probably steer you to an Eaton limited slip diff. I have used one in a personal car that ran high 12s in the quarter and it worked great, never had any problems. Auburn Gear makes good diffs also, the Pro series is a good option but kinda pricey and I have used / installed a lot of these with great results also. I know a few years ago SLP was selling takeout Torsen style diffs from stock newer F-body cars for a great price. They arent the strongest diff out there but at the time the price was almost too good to pass up and is better than an open diff.
