when i was replacing the rear rotors this morning, i put the car in neutral and turned the the passenger side wheel by hand, at first the other wheel spins in the opposite direction, then it just stops spinning and the driveshaft starts to spin, is it supposed to be like this?

Re: problem with eaton posi
Sitting with no load on it it certainly shouldnt allow the other wheel to rotate in the opposite direction. I would pull the diff cover and see what is going on while rotating the wheels. The fact that it did grab and turn the driveshaft says it is locking, but the other wheel shouldnt be moving in the opposite direction before hand as the clutches should be holding, unless yours is getting pretty worn out. If the clutches are shot there are rebuild kits to freshen it up.
