  • clutch engadgement?

Well lately i have noticed on my 98camaro. It takes at least half pedel to feel the clutch engadge.I remember when i bought the car the clutch engadged near the top, with little force. It just feels sloppy. Know last year before i was ready to store it, it was cold and the clutch stuck all the way in and i had to pull the clutch peddle out by hand. I dont thing my clutch is going the car only has about 115k kms, and ive only had it since 108k kms. Could it be a master or slave cyliner, problem or a linkage think. not sure. Just kinda anoying.
    Thanks.

    Re: clutch engadgement?

im guessing it is either the slave or master cylinder, because the stock clutch has been known to last quite a wile. But it is possible the clutch is just worn and old

check your masters fluid, bleed the slave. if not of those help, it's probably your master.

 It F`n poutched on me . 2day . i was goin home from work. its cold so i gave her alittle time to warm up . and i go around one corner. and come up to a yeild and it wont go into Gear.
Only reverse with force and rev. when you the dump the clutch it sticks in half springs out all the way . I dove home with like no clutch i had to force in every gear. and it was painfull doin that to the gears. WTf is it the clutch shouldnt be gone it only has just over 70k miles(for everybody else). could the master or slave be poutched cuz i dont hear anything different. sounds ok

thoughs . since i've only noticed the clutch problem when its cold . could there be a possiblity that condisation, (resivour)could have got into the hydralic clutch system . and froze causing blockages and well not letting fluid flow to open the valves. Just throwin it out there.
