Im open to suggestions. all of the tranny belhousing bolts are out. the dust shield bolt are out. all the electrical is disconnected. driveshaft is out. torque arm is out. shifter is off and the center console is out. I've got two jacks supporting the engine and tranny. engine is torn down to the bare block. what else could there possible be thats holding the tranny in? what am I doing wrong?

get a pry bar or something and stick it inbetween the bellhousing and the block. double check the very top of the bellhousing for any sneaky bolts you may have missed. if all else fails, tie a rope or something to the tail shaft and pull on that from behind the car

Well if your just taking out the four bolts holding the trans to the bell housing and your car has the hydraulic slave cylinder it won't work that way, you have to take out the bolts that attach the engine to the bell housing because the slave cylinder is attached to the bell itself. I'm just saying cause I've seen people do this more than once. I'm pretty sure it should be six larger bolts that hold the engine and trans together and also four smaller ones (2 on each side) that attach the trans to the little engine bracket things. hope this helps:wavey:
