So I was thinking, I don't feel like going through the trouble of swapping over all the brakes, lines, and lifting in a heavy rear end to get my posi in... So would it be easier to just remove the diff and gears and just swap those into my rear end? Would I need to get a gear install kit with crush washers and whatnot?
Ok, well I decided to swap out the diffs, it's definitely an auburn posi. Man does old gear oil smell. I think this will be the easier way to go. Just snag the diff and Z28 sway bar and be on my way.
Yeah... did a little more research, lucklily I never got the carrier out of the rear end... so I'm going to be putting it back together and sealing it up tomorrow. I'll just go through with the entire rear end swap.
