No it won't. Wait, his converter on your car? No. 2800 stalll converter built for YOUR car, yes.

      IDK.
I just gotta ask, why won't it work if it's the same transmission? 4l60E vs. 4L60E I see that one is a z/28 so probably has a lt1/ls1 so he wont get to the 2800 rpm stall with a v6, but probably higher than a stocker?
Is there a difference between the v6/v8 auto transmissions?

YES. Lots of them. Even tho they are both 4L60E's.

Installing a 2800 rpm converter, even for free, is not worth the time. My car STOCK can foot brake to 2600 as it sits now. 3200+ or go home :)

I'd get your TC checked out, it should only go to 1800 if its stock...

Thats what I thought at first, but some other guys on Fullthrottle say they brake it that high too.
The verter is rated at 1800, that I know for sure.
                Maybe its not stock
I have an open rear too, and maybe thats why it doesn't spin till so late.

Bell-housings are different sizes and bolt patterns. Converters are different as well. Planetary gear sets are heaver duty in the V8's. Some gear sets have 5 planetarys instead of 4.

when i had my 98 camaro i could brake stall it at 2500-3k and it was bone stock y87 car made for a heck of a shoow when i would launce it and smoke the tires through a intersection fooled a lot of ppl with that car. im actually doing the 2800 stgall in my 86 but thats a diff story. i agree the v8 stall on a v6 is a no go

I agree, that's about what mine is stalling to. My car is a bone stock '02 50k miles on it...
