Rear End

I'm thinking about buying a Z28 rear end do you guys recommend me buying the rear end. Mine is leaking oil from the right brake drum and the connector that goes to the drive shaft. The Z28 rear end comes with disc brakes as well but not sure of the gear ratio though. Just need suggestions from you guys to see if it a wise investment.

this has been done...do a search and ull find ur answer...find out what gear ratio u have now and do u have a LSD? also r u installin this urself?

I have no LSD and I'm doing this all myself I'm just wondering if it's gonna be a hassle to do it and is it a wise investment for the car

I think that the rear end that I want to buy has 2.73 gears inside but I'm not 100% sure. My rear end has 3.23 gears in back so i think I'm just gonna do a rebuild on mine instead of spending that money on another rear end.

Huh you have my attention. Where do you stay, and how much do you want for it? But right now i have to find out why my engine is making a knocking sound some of the forum members told me that it is a knocking rod.

ya but the thing is not that i know where u live its not gonna happen....shippin a rear cross country isnt cheap nor easy

I did the swap and put a rear with 2.73's in it. I'd recommend getting a diffrent rear end than that. I'm just lazy and dont feel like messing with putting another rearend in it.

I guess I'm just gonna rebuild mine since the gears on there are way better. I just need to find a lsd to put in there.
