    Hey Guys, Im thinking about buying some Gm 3.73 gears, but just out of curiosity, how long of a job is that for (decent) mechanics.

    TCI Deep Pan, Royal Purple, Trans-go Shift Kit. Should be done in January.

      I installed 3.73:1 gears from Motivated gear and kit coast about $300 and $200 for labor. If you do it your self you can save about $200.

      1999 V6 Camaro
      - Pacesetter Headers & Y- Pipe
      - Hi flow cat
      - K&N Intake System
      - Tuned
      - 3.73 gears
      Camaro V6 1999- K&N Intake System
      - 3.73 gear
      - Jet DST Programer
      - Spark plugs (Split Fire) and wires (Taylor 8.5)
      - Headers (Pace) and Y- Pipe
      - Hi Flow Cat

        ...equals a busted rear end. Gears have to be set to within a thousandth of an inch, otherwise they will fail prematurely and damage many internal components.

        If you make an appointment, it'll take maybe 4 hours for the shop to get around to it...if you just roll up there, they'll probably want to keep the car there overnight

          ah, then nevermind. I only have so much from my tax return.

            i got mine done for about $450 total. and dont buy new gm gears average cost is like $800-900. i am not saying the gm gears are not good but just like typical gm they price themselfs outta the market.

              I'm having a lsd and 3.90 gears installed in my camaro for only 300$...the place said I should leave my car overnight...so thats what Im planning for...just gotta find time to get it to the shop...maybe in the next 2-3 weeks
