Transmission Issues
Hey guys I have a T5 tranny and every time i shift it seems that it is hard to do so. Every time I start slowing down and start down shifting i can feel the gears kind of grinding , but after I slow down to about 15mph that goes away. I replaced my clutch about 5 months ago hoping that this problem would go away but it didn't. My tranny does have the right oil and it filled up to the marker. Can anyone help me figure out what can that be.

how many miles do you have on it? might be the syncros going bad if not already out. is it only certain gears or all of them?

It's on all of them. I have a about 5000 miles on the new clutch but on the car i have about 142,xxx milesComment

Might try some synthetic AFT. It's a good bet with that many miles the syncro's are worn. The world class T5's have automatic trans clutch material on the sync's.sigpic

yeah I have dexron III tranny fluid. I think a rebuild is not in my budget right now. More than likely I will have to buy another T-5 tranny in the future along with another engine.Comment
