Well i installed my new clutch, and my question is should the clutch grab very well instantly or is there a break in period in which it takes for the new clutch to grab well. Also i bleed the clutch in order to get pedal pressure back but i did what the haynes manual said like 5 times and the pedal still isn't as good as it used to feel, wondering if anyone had any ideas. Oh and i did search, i have done all the steps with the bleeder tube and pushing the clutch down holding, loosening bleeder then tightening, and pumping the clutch still no luck. If anyones got any idea it would be much appreciated.

also, there is a notable amount of play in my clutch pedal before it actually catches, not sure if this is normal though.Last edited by mestupryan; 03-25-2008, 07:58 PM.1999 v6 Camaro M5

Re: clutch break in questions
well now i'm starting to think that because the clutch pedal is not feeling as firm as it used to before i changed out the clutch, that if i can bleed the clutch good and get a good firmness amount in the pedal than that will solve my slipping problem. I made sure i kept all of the surfaces clean to prevent slipping.
