Very nice. How much hp? It's too bad there wasn't an option to get a T56 in a V6 from the factory. I have a 97 3.8 T5 and I've always felt that 1st was too short and 3rd gear has a bad ratio.
I easily put lengths on a ~450 HP supra during the supra meet here in Houston... I've scheduled some dyno time next week. I'm turing up the boost to max out the current fuel system...
final cost?
What was done for bellhousing/input shaft
What clutch/hydraulics.
Bad *** though definitely the BEST mod for a 3.8L :)
Six Speed inc here in houston had to do a couple of things to the tanny. different input shaft and different tail housing. There is a mating plate between the tranny and the T5 bellhousing, Same clutch/hydrolics
"learn to shift"
"weak fcuking video, do some drifting and real shifting man"
Making comments like this about a car you know nothing about really make you look silly, let me explain since you brought it up....
"learn to shift" = as you pointed out my shifting is slow, We'll that's for a couple of reasons. Number oen the slave needs to be shimmed. Right now, I have to put the pedal all the way to the floor to disengage the clutch. Thus you’ll get slow shifting, because I don’t want to grind gears (as you prob. heard after I did the U turn). I have not driven the car in over 6 months, During this time I’ve put on a new turbo kit, a T56 conversion and a mosser rear end.
"weak fcuking video, do some drifting and real shifting man"= My car id not set up for road racing/circle track it’s setup to go ¼ mile. Additionally, I’m not going to wreak my car because someone wants to see me acting like a fool with a high HP car. So, my apologies to you, I did post at the very beginning the goal was to just drive it and figure out the shift points and the new tranny in general.
I have not driven the car in over 7 months, During this time I’ve put on a new turbo kit, a T56 conversion and a mosser rear end. So please forgive me if I don’t run out and act like an idiot on my first couple of times the car is out of the garage. It's a completely different car.....
i think he was pointing out the humor in the comments...i found them to be funny, too. it seemed pretty obvious, to me, that the one that posted them didn't know the reason behind the video.
I love how that sounds. Besides what sounds like a squeeky pully everything is awesome.
Are you talking about when if first engauge the clutch? If so that's a Spec stage 5+ (special made for my car from spec). It's basically a metal plate, so it squeeks when you first enguage it.
