I don't think it would make a difference since factory M5 and A4 both are Dexron III, My next change will be with royal purple, since I have it in the engine and rear end. It's just what you want to pay for. I had a M5 and swapped to a A4, but with the M5 I just used Dexron III.

other than that royal purple stuff, what else is good in our t-5s? mine really needs to be changed but i dont have the money or the time to wait for it to be ordered. so what other fluid is good?
I have the Royal Purple stuff in my recently installed T-5 and its awesome...you could use any Dexron III/Mercon fluid you wanted really....just reg. auto tranny fluid.
