  • Clutch Line Mod

Has anyone else ever drilled the restrictor out of their clutch line? I read something about it today, tried it on my car, and sure enough it was in there...drilled it out, flushed the line, fluid seems to move alot smoother now.

You may find that you can now feel pulses, as that was the reason for the orifice.

I did this about 3 years ago.

Strange - when I had my clutch hydraulics replaced a month or two ago, I was going to have the drill mod done. Clutch line had no restriction.

Clutch hydraulics were replaced at about 60k miles by the dealer under extended warranty. Does this mean some part numbers have no restriction?

Did you take the master apart? I find it highly unlikely there was no orifice.

Yeah, we took it apart - he's done the drill mod 6-7 times on LS1 F-bodies..
