well, you don't air check the tranny as a whole.

you air check the different clutch packs and drums to make sure they're engaging and not blowing any seals.

like i said in your other post, I hope the tranny isn't back together yet or you're SOL on air checks.

when you air check, it's done at 30psi and at different ports on the input shaft to check the input drum. there's also a port on the back of the reverse drum, and there are certain ports on the valve body to check as well.

you may be able to perform these check through the valve body, but even then you wont be able to tell if they are engaging correctly.

ok guys i took my tranny back down and its sittign on my work beench how many AIr check holes do i gotta do

ok well i did the airchecks and all the stuff worked out great so i know the Tranny was put toghter right and the pistons are working correctly so now i am thinking its the Valve Body

did you replace the 3-4 clutches?

sure did i am soaking my valve body in this cleaner i have so it isnt dirty because the old gasket was caught in all the little valves holes and stuff Also i did a shift kit so i am ready to put back in asap
