    Actual Automatic Transmission Name/Code #

    What is the actual automatic transmission name/code # from a 1996 3.8

    I have searched like 50 useless threads trying to get the answer and no one will say what it is.

    I was assuming it was a 4l60e, but I know nothing when it comes to the world of v6 camaro's, so assuming is not a good idea.

    You are correct. 96 3.8s have a 4L60E

          Thanks for the reply guys. All I was wanting to know the actually tranny name, I know how many gears it has and what a4,m5,m6 stands for, but thanks for being so kind to inform me though :tup:
