do i have TC or not?

How do u know if u have traction control or not? 94 3.4l camaro,rear drums. Im looking to upgrade my rear with one from a 96 with no TC 3.42 gears and posi with disk brakes. will it bolt right up?

i don't believe any 3.4L came with traction control.

I might be completely wrong here, but I was thinking that my old 3.4 liter 95 Firebird had traction control. I know that it had a light. I heard somewhere that the computer monitered it and would apply the ABS breaks to the tire that was slipping, which would in turn apply more power to the one that wasn't.

Can't remember where I heard that, but I do know that I had a Traction Control light that would come on when the back end would get loose.

I guess the main give away would be if you have a light in your dash when you start your car.

my traction control light comes on when my abs goes off, or my back wheels are spinning for an extended amount of time

and my car does not have the "traction control system"

you know you have it if yu have a switch on your dash that says TCS

Hopefully I won't confuse things further but... 93-97 had sgs which was second gear start. Not so much a traction control but a way to get more torque to the ground through gearing. 98-02 had a more accurate traction control called, asc? something like that, I have it in my car so I just call it the fun button especially when making u turns. Helps a lot in wet conditions.

i do have a light on my dash but it only come on if i hydroplane, and i dont have any button on my dash, where would the button be?
