alrighty so i began my transgo install today ...going pretty well...just following the instructions and watching the video as i go (took the laptop along)...anyways i have to quit to go to a wedding ...but so far i have 3 questions for you guys that have done this....on the 2nd piston i got the o-ring and everything loose like i was supposed to...now my problem is that the cover will not come out, the springs are pushing everything else out and there is not enough room for it all to come, so i tried to hold the springs back in with a screwdriver but i cannot do that without pushing on the cover...which then just wedges it all in there..so i was just curious how you guys got that out. then on the 2nd accumulator, the piston that fits into the accumulator housing first...it came out with the round bumpy side facing up, but the instructions show installation with the 3 tabs up instead...is that correct? and lastly i bought an 1870 TCC fix valve from PATC..they said it would work with the shift kit...anyways...the instructions for it suck...is this maybe the same thing as the actuator valve on page 2 of the transgo instructions? well...im off to the wedding...sorry for the novel and thanks in advance for the help

Re: transgo install ?'s
question 2 concerning the upside down piston. Yes, follow the written instructions that came with the kit. i know it seems strange to put it in backwards to how the factory had it but it is not a misprint on the transgo instructions.
as for question 1, i belive you are refering to the servo. i cant help you there as i couldnt even get my outer snap ring off cuz it was spun around with nothing left to pry up through the lower access slot. i couldnt get a hold of in from the side access slot either. trans and shift kit work fine on my car without the servo parts from the transgo kit.
i am 99% sure you can remove the servo later with the pan on and full of fluid and everything if that helps get your car back together for now.Last edited by grayman; 07-27-2008, 01:10 AM.
