Have a Minor/Major Transmission Prob?

Alright today it was a minor problem but maybe a major problem. It started today when I was driving on the highway, I was moving out of the right lane onto the exit and gave the car at least 50% throttle. About halfway up at about 3000 rpms the car lost speed from about 40 mph to about 25 while on the gas. On a side note traffic was moving at 30 and I was getting off to go around. (Steelers Pre-Season game so traffic everywhere) Anyways, about 3000 to 3500 the car lost its power and the tranny slipped and made a very unpleasant sound. A sound like a loose exhaust hanger rattling is the closest I can put it, about right in the gas pedal. The tach kept going up but nothing. The tranny didn't catch again for a few seconds. Skipping a few other times on the ride home it happened again. However, this was just the beginning where I live is located on top of 3 hills. So as I made the turn to go up I start accelerating and I basically got nothing. I wasn't forcing the car or anything but I couldn't get it over 30 mph without it slipping and/or making that rattling sound, it basically could barely do the speed limit. I also noticed an Oil pressure drop that is very noticeable when your idle, its lower than normal at idle.

Now I waited til the car got cold again, warmed it up and took it for a stroll around the block, and the same thing it was bad I couldn't get normal acceleration after a stop sign. I checked all the fluids tranny, oil, coolant, blah blah..., all good... Its not like I have an high mileage car I just put 50,000 on her and just got it inspected, and YES this is the first time this happened, and no the check engine light is not on...

Anyway I'm going to get it looked at Monday, I have an A4 does anyone know what could be wrong?
