Okay guys I'm rebuilding my tranny in my 96 Camaro and I'm also swapping out my rear end for one I pulled out from underneath another 96 LT1 Camaro w/ 4.10 gears and of course the great disc brakes.
My question is what do I do about the speed limiter?
I understand that the gears are gonna say I'm running way faster than what I really am and therefore cause me to hit the speed limiter way before I'm actually there, so what is the remedy for this? Is there anything you can unhook or undo like the speedo or something?
I've heard that the tranny shifts by speed via electronically controlled valve body as opposed to RPM like a traditional tranny, is there any truth to this?
And also who sells a 3,000 stall that can handle some spray?
OR IS THERE A CONVERSION TO PUT A TH-350 BEHIND A 3.8? I already have a kit to put a th-350 or powerglide in my car "for other reasons" and if I can use the th-350 I'm going too and what would I do about a converter then?
No this car WILL NOT be a daily driver of any kind, just a weekend warrior so to speak.
