Going over to the dark side

Today I bought a 94 Camaro Z-28 with the LT1. The old 3.4 has seen better days and is going to be put out to pasture until I decide what to do with it. Is the 4L60E automatic from the 3.4 interchangeable with the automatic in the LT1? I rebuilt it less than 1K miles ago and hate to waste it.

Congrats on the new car.

The V6 tranny uses a different size input shaft,it will not work.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think it was going to fit because that's how my luck has been running lately. Fortunately the car doesn't need one.

I've been told that the internals are identical... they *might* make good replacement parts.
