I looked through all of your Stickys but didnt find any info i was looking for.
What type and weight does every one use or recommend for use in a 94 T5 tranny.
Im going to change it out soon and want to put the best stuff in.

Yes it is, there is also RP or Valvoline dextron VI which is also syntheic, I have been using the dextron VI in my A4 for about a year, once it is time for a change I'm going with Royal Purple. But stock is Dextron III.

I think it comes down to personal choice. I just have RP in my engine and rearend, thats why when I switch my tranny fluid out , I'll go with RP.

Personally I leave the synthetic oil for the engine only, and stick to the conventional stuff for gear lubricant i.e. differential, transmission, etc. solely based off of personal experience with synthetic gear lube. I'm actually going to change the ATF in my 4l60e this weekend (excluding whats left in the torque converter, cooler lines, clutch packs,and valve body) and Valvoline Dex. III and a Fram filter kit is sufficient for the job.
