back from the shop

just got my car back from aamco transmission with new clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder and fluid. Having a new clutch is amazing, its crazy smooth and shifts much easier as well. couple thoughts/questions

1. How long should I let in break in before I step on it? I only drive like 10 miles a day, and somebody told me like 600 miles. Not sure I can wait that long...

2. I kinda hear some sort of, I don't know, some kind of air rushing. like...pfffff when I push the pedal. air bleeding out? problematic?

3. They used a quarter tank of gas workng on my car. WTF? That seems like a lot, I know they have to idle it a bit and or test it out. they screwed with my radio too... that doesn't bother me that much I guess, but it seems a little wierd.

Well I don't really know about it breaking in but better safe then sorry sure someone else will be able to tell you that but as for the gas our gauge's aren't that accurate. For the radio they most likely discounted the battery so depends was your clock right?

I would say at least 1 to 2 hundred miles. I had to wait at least 500 miles on my new engine.

its not dont step on it thats fine once its engaged, its dont drop it or slip it excessivly

not true, clutches that are breaking in are known to slip, stepping on it and having the clutch slip would be disastrous and mess the new disc up.

just drive the car easy for the first 250 miles, and the next 250 miles drive normally (and by that i mean like a normal driver, not bating the crap out of the car)
