got a p1870 code

Ok I got this code and i did a search and found this thread http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread...ighlight=p1870

One of the members in this thread bought a new valve for the tcc solenoid through this website http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4l60e.htm#Level%201 and bought part #1870V replaced it and said that it fixed the problem. My question is where is that located on the transmission and is it easy to remove? I tried searching and i know i will get flamed for not trying harder but I could not find how to change this piece. Also if anybody has any ideas on how to fix this please feel free to respond, later

just take it to a tranny shop and pay the $300 for it to be done right. valvebody upgrade, EXTREMELY common issue

The TCC solenoid and valve are not part of the valve body. The valve in in the pump and the solenoid is under the pump in front of the valve body. It's an easy fix in the car. You'll need a small pair of snap ring pliers and patients.

The large aluminum part is the back half of the pump.

the #1870 part replaces a worn valve in the valve body.....you have to drop the valve body out, pull the worn one, replace it with the new one....not too hard. Just have to make sure when you put the valve body back in you get all the bolts back in the right places or it could lock up your drivetrain. lol.

which part do i need to order to fix my tranny on the link. just the $18 one?
