You could go pretty far with the T-5 transmissions. Just replace the clutch with a Spec Stage 3+ Clutch, a Spec Aluminum Flywheel and your good for up to 475 TQ. Of course after that you might want to replace the weaker links like your rear end and your drive shaft. Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out. The Clutch is 395 and the Flywheel is 359. Plus the flywheel will make your engine rev faster and smoother so I think its totally worth it. http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm
Yeah, Im gonna call BS on that. The clutch and flywheel can handle that much torque but the tranny itself most certainly cannot.
i think your right, the flywheel might help be putting less strain on the tranny but the tranny takes the full blow of it so the clutch isn't going to help or hurt, hp is.

i agree with both of these statements, i may be totally wrong on the tq rating of the t5, but i could have sworn i read its 215ftlb, but who knows.
there is no way that trans will hold up for long with 450+ hp.. hell a lot of built auto transmissions are only rated at 400ftlb, and the auto's take the power way better than the manuals do since there is either 0% or 100% load on them
Yeah the T-5 transmission probably won't last very long once your power is up to 475tq but I know it can handle more than 215. Not only that I rather keep replacing my transmission instead of having to drive gaymatic transmission and reek of estrogen plus it takes the whole fun out of driving.
according to ^^^ that, there is a way to build a good t-5 and i would rather do that then have to go auto..like it was previously stated..autos take the fun out of driving imo. thats just my 2 pennys
changing transmissions doesn't make your engine more powerful
on the contrary, manual trannys are direct drive which doesnt give your engine more power but reduces the %tage of power loss through the drivetrain, so if i dynoed at 180 rwhp with the auto, with the 5 speed it would be approximately $195 rwhp:slap:
