    Re: YEAH,WOW,YEAH lol

Oh and RichardCoelho check this video out might make you feel a little better. According to this dyno video a good conditioned F-body with Pacesetter Headers and just a cat-back exhaust will dyno at 182.5HP and 205TQ at the wheels with just those two mods. Since you have a lightweight drive-shaft my estimate would be that you'd probably be getting an extra 2 or 3 HP and TQ to the wheels. With the tune a good 5HP and TQ to the wheels. As far as the throttle body goes I don't know what kind of numbers a typical P&P would give you so you can do the math yourself with that one. So you should probably be at around 189HP and 210TQ to the wheels and thats if the P&P throttle body didn't give you any gains. Sounds like some pretty decent power if you ask me.

wow he got 205 rwtq and i have a bit more mods, and mods that put a bit more to the wheels so i may be close to 215 at least.

Yeah that lightweight drive-shaft I'm sure made a noticeable difference in how much power your car puts to the wheels due to less rotating mass and less parasitic loss.

lol 2 1/2 years on any transmission is a form of abuse. Especially since he's running a considerable higher amount of HP and TQ on that flywheel compared to the power it came with stock.

I haven't. The car's been to the track on 6 occasions since it's been cammed. All other times, it's a DD, so it's rarely revved above 4000 rpm and no hard launches

You disappoint me Smoke Panther. I was trying to prove how T-5 transmissions are good but noooooo :( lol just kidding your just being honest. Well I launch my T-5 at least twice a week especially on the weekends but then again my car is basically stock so we'll see how my transmission takes up the abuse after I get it cammed and get an after-market clutch and flywheel.

smokepanther, i never tried a launch, so what rpms do you think i should launch it at? and do i pop the clutch because some people release it rapidly.

no one can tell you how to perfectly launch your car. It involves way too many factors for someone to really advise, without having actually driven your car. You're just going to have to practice

doesnt matter, he said it rarely see's above 4000 rpm

at that rpm he might be seeing stock hp/torque numbers from the engine

Im sure he is getting a tad more then stock numbers at around 4000rpm...but you are right, it's not seeing the power needed to break it at the moment...and the fact that he has had it for 2 1/2 years doesnt mean its recieving abuse if it is not having to stand up to those higher numbers...

This is why I love my auto :P

best estimation from my dyno graph, says I put out 238-240 rwtq at 4000 RPM

That's the spirit Smoke Panther we're back on topic! So that does prove that the T-5 transmissions could take a decent amount of TQ over stock. We have to remember here that when Smoke Panther dynoed his car it was to the rear wheels so my guess although its not going to be 100% accurate so don't get mad. Is that shifting at 4000RPMS he's pushing at least 260 flywheel torque and even that should be considered a form of abuse especially after he's pushing an extra 35TQ for 2 1/2 years. I mean I got nothing against you auto enthusiast I just fail to agree that the stock transmission is really that fragile. Like I said earlier I launch my car at least twice a week and I got my F-body about a year ago nothing including the rear axles have broken on me.

but if its any help I launch my car at 3,000 RPMS and usually get a good jump like that even against a Subaru 4WD WRX of course by about the end of 1st he's out of here but the jump is fairly close.

Damn it seems like this guy is abusing the T-5 a little to much he just lets it bounce of the Rev limiter.
