  • Replacing the Rear Axle

I have a '02 V6 bird and was in an accident last summer (fish-tailed into a curb on a rain slicked road). The left rear wheel slapped into the curb, blown the tire and chipped the rim. :( I went on to order a factory rim and had it replaced. The tire was still usable as the air shot out from the crack in the rim, and not a hole in the tire.

After that i heard light squeaking every time I would apply pressure to the brakes and every once in a while when i would be rolling.

Since then I replaced both back rotors and brake pads thinking that maybe the rotor was warped from the accident. After that the squeaking still remained.

I think now that my axle may be bent and am looking to replace it with a new salisbury or aftermarket one. If anyone has any info on rear axles or knows a good site on the internet that has them the cheapest please lemme know. Thx
