ok im about to pick up a 10 bolt rear end from a 2001 Camaro with 3.23 gears in it and non-traction control. i have a 1999 camaro 5 speed with stock rear end that is open i think. so will it swap with no problem? i know i need to use new fluids and additives just need to confirm that it will work with no prob
3.23 is lsd correct?

oh.. so i might already have 3.23's?? great :slap: i thought since my car only spins one wheel that the gears were 2.73 or 3.08 so i guess the next step is to find out if its a LSD before i pay for it well vr4gasm i IOU lunch next time your in florida let me know (thanks for the info)
None of the v6 cars came with 2.73 gearing. Only the V8 cars did. Lowest on our cars is 3.08 gear ratio. Check your RPO codes for G80, which is the limited slip code. Also check for either for GU4, GU5, or GU6, which are 3.08, 3.23, or 3.42 gears.
You also might want to make sure this rear end has lsd. Just because it has 3.23s doesn't mean it has limited slip differential. If it does have lsd and your car is also a non-traction control car, then there should be no problem swapping the rear ends.
