  • IS this my torque converter??

My car has been acting up when cold the last two days, when i came to a stop the first couple of times today it sounded like it was gonna stall then sorta launched itself, it was idleing high, and not locking up while on the highway, after it got hot i stopped on the side of the road and turned the car off, after i restarted it was gone, did the same thing yesterday except today it was wanting to stall,or seemed like it.There is also an awfull rattle/jingling noise from under the car when its under load that is definatly not normal,it also went away after stopping and restarting once warm, any suggestions would be great!!

Not sure what the symptom is, but seeing that this is your third post within the month regarding your trans, I'd seriously recommend that you have a professional take a look at it before it decides to leave you stranded one day.

x2. There's only so much we can tell you about your transmission online. You should take it to a transmission shop for an actual diagnosis and solution.

Well im gonna take it in to get looked at, just wanted to see if anyone had this problem before or had any ideas, I obviously didnt expect anyone to fix it over the internet, and the last three post were about the same problem i just never got any answers,i guess its not a common problem, ahh well. and i did take it to a mechanic the first time it started but it seems to only do it when cold so they told me to come back cause it would be hard to diagnose when it wasnt doing it. I noticed today that it will continue to do it even when warm until i stop the car and restart it, which makes me think electrical but the noise is what gets me.
