What gears are on a '93 birds ?

Hi guys,

I've been trying to find out what gears I have in my '93 bird. I looked for the GU codes but no such thing on my doors.

I've a manual 5 speed standard (now it's a 6 speed, but the diff is the old one)

My friend had an auto 4 speed, now using my old manual 5 speed. What are his gears standard ?

Any idea how to find the gears we need ? Say we both swap to 3.90, how do I know differential I have ? If I search in summitracing for 3.90 gears (or 3.73 gears) I get plenty of results referring to a different diff size GM 8.5 inch, GM 7.5 inch, GM 8.8. inch etc...
