Is there any difference between a 93-97 torsen diff and a 98-02??? I found a few on ebaythat say they're for an lt1 and for an ls1. I'm assuming I have 3.08 gears, because my camaro is just a standard model with no factory options, so if I buy this I want to buy 3.42 or 3.73 gears. Is there a significant difference between these and 3.08???

Re: torsen question
if you are drag racing I advise against getting a torsen...I just grenaded the brand new unit I bought last year...
There are 2 types of carriers, series 2 and series 3...Series 3 is for 3.42 or higher gears I believe (maybe 3.23 as well I cant remember)
Series 2 is 3.08 and below... If you get a series 2 carrier you can still use a higher gear, just you have to make sure to buy the thicker gears...
