I have a hypertech and I was going to play with the shift points on the trans. The tuner can add and subtract mph to the shift points. What would happen if you took mph's away into the neg? Will it make it have better pickup? Has anyone done this before?

Re: shift points
I am not familiar with hypertech, but the pcm has 2 parameters and 3 tables it uses in order to make the shift...the 2 parameters are mph and rpm...so if you took away the mph it should still shift the same as before unless you lower the rpm as well...or unless hypertech does this automatically for you.
So I would say that it wont make any difference at all if you just lower your mph and touch nothing else...
