  • Radiator fan keeps blowing fuse

I've had constant problems with my 3.4 radiator fan blowing the 10 amp fuse, which in turn causes my car to start running hot. I thought maybe there was a short between the relay and the fan, so I ran a manual switch with an inline fuse holder. The fuse in the fuse holder promptly blew as soon as I flipped the switch to start the fan.

My question is, before I buy another fan, am I blindly overlooking something?

Might as well switch to a dual setup if you have a manual fan switch. Be better cooling and you can pickup the 2 fans with shroud for like $100. But first trace your fan wiring as far as you can to make sure nothing is shorting out. The test the fan manually putting postive and negative to it to see if it kicks on. Because it shouldn't be over powering it since the dual fans only run off a 10 amp fuse. If you can't find the short just run you manual switch and use the stock wiring where you know theres no shorts and use new line for the manual switch.
