Does anyone have an opinion on this...is it truly plug and play as advertised?

This seems to be the least expensive yet most comprehensive way to go, from the brochure. :)

It looks like it would be a fairly simple install since you would be installing a stock sealed beam housing. You would probably just have to splice the ballasts in. 10000K is going to be really purple.

Yeah, that will be plug and play. Quite a simple install. However, 10000K is annoyingly blue and very inefficient. I had 6000K HIDs for a while, and eventually decided even that was too blue/white and went to 4300K and couldn't be happier.

Here's what I think. 6,000k to 8,000k is going to look the coolest from outside the car, looking at the car. But from inside the car, a more yellow light actually makes everything look nicer and is more pleasant to drive with. Hence why I went to 4300k.

agreed that 6-8k will look the best to others, but i actually prefer the intense blue light for driving at night---to me it lights up things very well and has great illumination on street signs and markers.

        to each his own though.

i do agree that 10k is too much. 6k is kind of down the middle for me---i'm considering that temp for my jeep.

I see what you mean, and used to feel the same. But now I see it more like sitting in a living room with old fluorescent lighting vs. halogen track lighting. I just see the yellow light as more soothing to the eye. It's certainly less eye-catching from outside the car, though. But that's just me..

I took mine for a drive tonight and the 6000K's do light up the street signs better and so far I can have both sets on and not get flashed by others so its pretty nice. Most of the time I was just using 1 set, but then clicked both on and still no problems except seeing everything from a good distance.LOL
