Interior lights

I am having a weird issue with my lights. They will come on when driving. I have open and closed my door and would turn off, but then will come on again a bit later.

I do not have problem with the alarm. Is there two different sensors one for lights and one for alarm. Anyone know where they are located.

Did you check the hatch? The lights are linked to three sensors (doors and hatch).

I will check that tonight/tomorrow. Hood makes more sense then door. I would think if door sensor was problem alarm would not arm.
Every now and then past month lights would not come on, not sure if that is related.

Your alarm system won't arm if any one of the three sensors is reading open. If you have the car set on the double honk upon lock, it will just honk once to tell you something is up, and will probably act differently depending how you have your system programmed other than that.

If you lights weren't coming on previously, it sounds more like you have a faulty sensor with a bad connection. If you can just figure out which one it is, replacing it, to me, sounds like it would fix your problem. Most likely it would be the driver door, as it would obviously get the most wear. But first things first, check to make sure the hatch is secure as well as the driver and passenger doors, then go from there.

I got a question pertaining to the interior lights..my lights on the mirror work only if you use the interior dim thing left of the steering wheel and they will work when the doors open but like the two buttons on the mirror wont work anymore..I have my radar hardwired to the wire going to those lights, could that be it? is a fuse out? I noticed it after I had my sunstrip tinted, the guy took the mirror off and unplugged the wire but idk how he could have damaged it, i'm just a little confused on why they don't work now.
