    Ok. Here is the problem
when going at any speed and heading towards a stop, the battery charge needle will dance from the good charge to the low charge (battery and alternator are both brand new) also the car will almost die, I have to rev it up to keep it alive.

    Any suggestions

i have the same problem. replaced the alternator, belt, belt tensioner and it helped..but the car just does that. The needle will drop low then go back up.

sounds like a bad alternator that cant keep up unless the RPM's are high

one more thing i need to tell you guys
the ground cable that comes from the battery to the head, is no longer hooked there is on the headers flange bolts.
will this be the problem ???

its possible, it doesnt seem like an alternator problem because your battery would die if that was true, but a way you can check is have your car running and idling, and unplug your battery, if your alternator is working, the car should stay running for a few seconds, if the car dies, your alternator is bad

Heat adds to electrical resistance. I would reatach it to the front of the block somewhere, at least to narrow things down.

Does said problem only happen when decelerating twords a stop? or when cruising as well?

Do you use a rechargable air filter?

I had an erily similar problem on my camaro. I had used to much filter oil and it had coated my MAF giving me bad airflow readings, which made the car try and die/ completly die when i was brakeing for a stop or turn. Check to see if your MAF is dirty. Mine was and as soon as i cleaned it my problem was gone.

I was having similar problems and running more electronics just exacerbated the situation. i.e. rear defroster, windshield wipers, stereo, headlights, turn signal. When I upgraded my ground wires to a larger gauge, everything was keeping up better when under a heavier load.

Do you have larger wires already installed?
