Re: Is my window motor dead?

I guess it depends on how often you use your windows.

But I typically get 6-7 months of use from pep boys motors with 1 year warranty on them. So when they die I just exchange them.

Mine is from Advance Auto which sells their motors with a LLT (Limited Lifetime Warranty).

That means you can exchange it twice and then your warranty is toast...

I just exchanged #3, so next time I pay.

Re: Is my window motor dead?

I got mine from Autozone for like $40 with a lifetime warranty. Haven't installed it yet, but hoping it'll last as long as the last one did (4 years).

if you cant get your drivers side window to seal trying rolling it up with the door open and then shut it that used to happen to me, that way it doesn't have to push on the weather stripping to get to the top.

Re: Is my window motor dead?

yeah I always have to do that with the passenger side to get it to shut all the way.
thanks for the input guys, I'm probably gonna get them from autozone instead of going the ebay route.

Did they ever make the one touch roll down?

I would not recommend the ebay motors, get a local with lifetime warranty. We offer Dorman Window Lift motors as a bundle kit.

Advance Auto Parts window motors come with a lifetime warranty - just be sure to photocopy the receipt (it fades over time) - you'll need it.
