    You need solder to melt solder. Meaning make sure you melt some on the tip of your soldering iron. This will prevent a (cold solder) You want to make sure that you don't (cold solder) because it could crack and break off in time. Do not add to much solder to the object your trying to solder. Make sure your solder point DO NOT touch anything else or you will fry the thing your trying to fix. I hope this helps out

      I dunno man...did you ground yourself before you touched the circuit? did you try and avoid touching the other solder joints and such? did you maybe break another connection somewhere on the circuit board? look over the board very very carefully everywhere...make sure you ground yourself before you touch the thing so you don't fry it...alot of people have done this including myself and we havent had anymore issues, maybe try taking all the solder off those joints and redoing it again, maybe a little cleaner this time...do you have a pic of what your solder joints look like right now?
