How to replace the ignition switch?

Is there a write as to how to replace the ignition switch? Mine is bad and will eventually leave me stranded... There was also someone saying that there's a wire that tends to break because whenever we turn the key it moves the wire, Is this wire replaced when we replace the switch or do we have to replace the wire ourselves?
