I finally got my electric water pump from my buddies house in the US...I want to install it in the next week or so...does anyone have a wiring diagram of how to install these, or know where I can get one?
it has a bunch of wires on it, and I have no idea what is what...
I'd like it to turn on and function with the car, as well as turn on at the flip of a switch...
scratch that I found a thing on there website, but it doesn't say how I should hook up an extra switch that I can run it from inside the car while the cars off?
so there are 6 wires total. Here is a picture of what everything looks like....I don't get which wires go where? Is that block thing a relay? where does that go? or is that an independant relay and I don't have to plug that into anything on the car? which wires go to a switch lol?
connect the blue wire to a "ignition on" power source... then it looks like the black and orange wires are ground wires?
I am assuming the 2 green wires are the wires I would use to run to a switch? I should run one to a ground and one to one side of my switch? then on the other piece of the switch run a power wire directly to the battery?
^ If I do the above, should I be installing another 20 amp fuse on the "power" green line that is running to my switch inside the car?
Looks like the water pump has 2 wires, hot and ground. The other wires are for the relay. The relay is a high amp switch so a lot of current doesn't have to flow through your toggle switch.
I stripped the bolt for the alternator, actually I think I stripped the threads in the hole... (the 10mm bolt that goes on the upper right side)...any ideas of how to fix my new found problem?
