Just another reason why I like this car so much

Once again my 1993 Firebird did not let me down.

Leaving work last Thursday night, engine cranked kind of slow.
Leaving work last Saturday, engine cranked very slow.

On Sunday I got around to check the issue. Alternator charging just fine, battery was 4 years old.

Bought and installed a new battery Sunday, good to go.

This Firebird has been one of the most reliable cars that I have ever owned. It even warned me before the battery died... :cool:

I am pretty sure that the 3.4 is a reliable motor, I am also pretty sure that when the 3.4 ****s, its due to over heating. And that is a maintance issue.

VERY reliable engine. Beat the hell out of my old one, diluted the oil with fuel, lost oil pressure, even drove it 20 miles like that, tore it apart and the bearings were still in excellent condition after 120,000 miles of 3000+ RPM abuse.

lol if only it were that easy for me. i woke up christmas eve and had to meet a client in my old office, went to crank my jeep up and its battery was dead (had only had the vehicle for 6 months at that point), and went to jump it with the camaro and she was dead (with an 11 month old battery i had just put in), after i had started it two days prior and just driven the jeep the night before...talk about a way to start your day with good luck.

I have to say. Mine hasnt givin me too much $h*t. But i will need a new A/C compressor soon. Maybe ill get it done before i install my powerdyne.
Baller- dude that sucks, I had a autozone battery in my car for like 8 years haha, but i eventually had to replace it like a month ago.
