I have a friend who drives a 2002 V6 Camaro. Her claim is that "lightning struck the car."
Regardless if this is actually what happened, ever since she cannot unlock the doors with the key FOB and has 10 seconds to get the key in the ignition before the horn starts sounding.
Locking and hatch popping by remote works completely fine.
Any ideas? Is there a way to reset the alarm system?
Sounds like the key fob button has worn out or one of the relays in the BCM took a dump. You can look in the owners manual and program the alarm from setting automatically.
