I have a 1995 Firebird Convertible that has a problem with the driver's side automatic window switch - its mount has "broken" down inside the armrest and the switch cannot be activated without great difficulty. Surely I'm not the first Firebird owner this has happened to; clearly a design flaw from GM at the outset.
Does anyone know of a "ready-made" aftermarket solution to repair the mount? Is something like a "brace" available that a "do-it-your-selfer" could purchase and install to bolster the switch assembly? If so, where could I find it?
Also, new door-lock switches are in my future; any suggestions on where to find replacements at a good price with QUALITY?
Thanks in advance for your help!
V6's ROCK! (Especially with $3.00+ gallons of gas!)
