  • switching gauges?

hey my buddy has a z28 he is parting out, so im getting a lot of parts off him. i was curious if his gauges would work in my car, i just have a base v6. both cars are 4th gen. i figure the rpms would probably be off but i didnt know about the speedo or other gauges. i figured someone had tried this before so i asked before doing the work.

    Re: switching gauges?

What year is his car and what year is yours? The wiring can still be different even though they're 4th gen camaros. I have a 97 camaro, and tried the 98 gauge cluster and it didn't work b/c the pinout is different from 97 to 98.

However, a 99 Trans Am cluster works fine in my 99 Camaro.
