Alternator/Electrical issues

My problem is this as i come to a stop my volt meter drops to lik 8-10 volts then after i come to a complete stop id will slowly climb back to normal. This has wreaked havok with the transmision, ABS module, etc. I asssume since the alternator is internally regulated that my problems lies inside. This voltage drop has even casued my car to die going around a corner. I have an aftermarket audio system ie 1600 watts, an electric water pump and a dis-4 all added to the elictrical system on this car, im sure this is not helping my cause. Should i buy a higer amp alternator to remedy this problem and if so where can i get one? ive searched for information on them here on the forum before to no avail. If any of you have ideas please share, otherwise i'm kinda shooting in the dark.

If all your grounds are good and clean , might be your stereo system, mine with all my gauges was taking alot of juice so I added a 200 amp Alt. off ebay , and left my big 3 wire upgraded on there since you'll need a 4ga. from the 200amp alt. to the batt. also added a 200amp fuse front and rear for the 0 ga. wire , since one amp puts out 1700 RMS and the other is 900 RMS and have 5 gauges and other wiried in stuff. I think the 200 AMP ALT. was about $160 shipped I think. You'll also need a shorter belt since the pulley is smaller, I think mine was like 3/4" shorter to 1" shorter. Good luck

Thanks for the input Steve, right now i am looking at a 220 amp alternator. I think that should take care of my problem.
